Title: Methods for preparing decamethyl cyclopentasiloxane

Abstract: Decamethyl cyclopentasiloxane can be prepared in good yields by treatment of octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane with aqueous hydrochloric acid and a normal C₆-16 alkyl sulfonic acid.
