Abstract: A coupling forming a connection between two elements or fittings, at least one of which has a cylindrical, or multifaced, outer surface, including in longitudinal section, a flexible beam member and a nose portion which, under application of a force in direction towards the nose portion and the beam member, makes contact with an element inserted into the coupling. The beam member and the nose portion can either be formed in one piece or in two separate but interlocked parts, generally completely surrounded by the element to be connected to the element inserted into the coupling.
