Title: Apparatus for handling a cover of a steam generator in an electro-nuclear station

Abstract: The apparatus comprises a rigid frame which can rock about a fixed shaft and on which is mounted a transfer mechanism for imparting a translatory movement to the heavy plug so as to uncover the opening of the generator without irradiation of the personnel. A tool system for loosening the fixing nuts of the plug, as well as mechanical means for supporting or driving the sealing disc if the latter is separate from the plug, can be temporarily attached to the mechanism.
