Title: Lid opener for storage container

Abstract: An improved opener for the lid or hatch cover of a tall storage container. The opener includes a pivotal handle that is disposed at a location remote from the lid and is operatively connected thereto by a linkage system associated with the container. The handle is operative between a first position, in which the lid is locked in a closed position, and a second position, in which the lid is locked in an open position.
