Title: Method and apparatus for reclaiming polymer from scrap plastic film rolls

Abstract: Scrap plastic film rolls are axially pushed onto a mandrel wherein at least one axial cut is made through the roll film, the film roll including the paper core is pushed toward a separator which strips the film from the core, the core is moved axially on the mandrel, slit and removed from the mandrel thereby separating plastic film and the core material.
