Sesbanine and the use thereof in treating leukemic tumors
Abstract:
A novel alkaloid compound named "sesbanine" has been produced from the tissue of a leguminous plant known as Sesbania drummondii. Sesbanine has proven to be effective in causing the remission of leukemic tumors in animals and is characterized by the following structural formula: ##STR1##
