Title: Labyrinth sealing system

Abstract: A labyrinth sealing system for sealing the inner space of an apparatus defined by two interengaged members, wherein one member is movable with respect to the other. The sealing system includes a first plurality of concentrically spaced ridges formed on one of said members, and a second plurality of concentrically spaced ridges formed on the other said member, the ridges of each said member arranged to engage each other in noncontacting fashion in the spaces between the ridges of the other said member.
