Abstract: Apparatus for supplying fluid for use at the internal surface of a tubular workpiece is provided with a housing mounted in a frame which is movable along the inside of the workpiece. A plurality of rigidly connected, coaxially arranged fluid supply pipes are rotatably mounted in the housing and project from one end of the housing. Fluids are supplied to the housing through a plurality of non-rotatable supply pipes, pass through conduits provided by the interior of the inner rotatable supply pipe and by the annular section clearances between radially adjacent rotatable supply pipes, and are discharged through outlet conduits which are connected respectively to the projecting ends of the individual rotatable fluid supply pipes and which are supported at their ends at the outer end of a radial arm carried by the projecting ends of the rotatable fluid supply pipes. Rotary seals mounted in the housing engage the inlet ends of the rotatable fluid supply pipes and the inlet ends of these pipes of progressively increasing diameter are disposed progressively downstream of the inlet of the inner rotatable fluid supply pipe so as to reduce the volume enclosed by the conduits provided by these pipes and so as to reduce the average size of the rotary seals.
