Abstract: The guide for aiding in backing-up vehicles includes an extensible and retractable element preferably provided on the right rear fender portion of the vehicle. When the transmission of the vehicle is placed in reverse, the guide is automatically extended to serve as a visual aid in backing up the vehicle. When the vehicle transmission is placed in any other position, the guide is retracted.
