Title: Air quantity metering apparatus

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an air quantity metering apparatus for use in internal combustion engines including a fuel injection system having an air intake manifold provided with a barrier flap which is mounted on a shaft to which is attached, exteriorly of said manifold, a spring loaded mechanism that serves to pretension the barrier flap in dependence upon conditions that exist in said manifold.
