Title: Releasing tool for use with a releasable cone lock

Abstract: A tool for releasing cone locks which can generally be moved in only a single direction on a cable or rod wherein the tool is provided with a portion that can be inserted into the lock to engage and release the locking mechanism such that the lock can be removed from the cable or rod thus preventing the rod and cable from having to be cut.
