Title: Apparatus and method of applying staple-like bottom stops to slide fasteners and the like

Abstract: A split carrier for receiving bottom stops from a feeding chute is biased toward a raised position beneath a ram which upon downward movement forces the bottom stop and carrier downward where the forces of wing portions of the bottom stop engaging camming seating edges on respective halves of the carrier force the carrier halves apart and install the bottom stop on the slide fastener.
