Title:
Frequency translation circuits
Abstract:
A frequency translator, for translating a signal at frequency f into the F-f and F+f bands where F is a carrier, consisting mainly of an integrated circuit comprising two bidirectional switches controlled by two 180.degree. out of phase square signals at the carrier frequency, each switch being supplied from one output of a d.c. voltage source fed with said carrier equal respectively to the absolute maximum and minimum values of the square wave, said signal being applied to said bidirectional switches either directly or through a transformer. In a preferred embodiment the switches consist of a C-MOS integrated circuit.
