Title: Circuit arrangement for setting a rotatable type carrier over the shortest path of rotation

Abstract: A circuit arrangement is provided for setting a type carrier, having character types arranged on the periphery thereof, from a present setting position to a new setting position over the shortest path of rotation, via a stepping motor, by means of pulse train elements derived from information characters input in binary form, where the relevant position of the type carrier can be read as a binary coded position character, in business machines, data machines, teleprinters or the like.
