Title: Polymerization initiators containing thio bridges

Abstract: A process for the manufacture of reactive polymers of vinyl monomers by reacting the latter, or the polymers formed therefrom, with compounds which form free radicals. The latter compounds are tetrakis-(organylthio)-methanes, 1,1,2,2-tetrakis-(organylthio)-ethanes or hexakis-(organylthio)-ethanes. The polymers obtained can readily be modified, e.g. by oxidation or quaternisation.
