Title: Yarn or thread guiding device

Abstract: A device which prevents the lateral throw-off of loose yarn ends from a yarn package on a winding machine, a package is driven in contact with a rotating member, and such device consists of at least one blowing nozzle arranged at the outside of an end face of the package so that the direction of the air current blown out from said nozzle is directed toward the contact point between the end face of the package and the rotating member. In a preferred embodiment, air is directed parallel to the junction of the winding yarn package and a grooved guide drum, substantially a right angle to the package end face.
