Title: Multi-stage screw-compressor with different tooth profiles

Abstract: A screw compressor has at least two pairs of compressor rotors arranged in series, the outside diameter of the rotors of the two pairs being substantially the same, and the ratio of the outside diameter to the diameter at the base of the rotor teeth or vanes of the second pair being such that the capacity of the rotors corresponds to the intake volume of fluid to be compressed flowing from the first to the second pair of rotors.
