Abstract: Polymeric hydroquinones of the structure ##STR1## , wherein n is from 3 to 10,000 inclusive and R and R' independently are hydrogen or a lower alkyl, are disclosed, as is the preparation and the use of such materials, especially as nonabsorbable polymeric antioxidants for edible materials.
