Title: Decalcomania image transfer system

Abstract: A decalcomania image transfer system comprises a non-stretchable base sheet of linear oriented high-impact styrene, with one or more images of flexible decal lacquer formed thereon. The lacquer is applied through a photo emulsion stencil. Subsequently, a pressure-sensitive adhesive is applied through another photo emulsion stencil and over the lacquer image. A very thin outside film of the adhesive dries and forms a surface oxide film, which precludes a sticky feel, but which will break when burnished, to enable the underlying adhesive to attach the image onto a receiving surface.
