Abstract: A root crop harvester having an annular root elevating conveyor supported for rotation about a horizontal axis and for elevating mud laden roots, a retaining mechanism to contain roots being elevated in the conveyor and a cleaning mechanism for removing mud and foreign materials from the elevating conveyor.
