Abstract: Polymers containing hexaarylbiimidazole groups depolymerize upon being struck by radiation and are useful in producing positive images. Exemplary is poly[1,10-bis-4'-[5"(2-o-chlorophenyl-4"-phenyl)imidazolyl]phenoxydecane].
