Title: Preservative for wood

Abstract: The wood preservative of the present invention comprises an aqueous ammoniacal solution of a fatty acid salt of at least one metal of the group consisting of Cu, Zn, Ni, Cd and Co. The fatty acid contains 6-12 carbon atoms per molecule, and preferably caprylic acid.
