Abstract: Process for the preparation of discharge effects under or on dyeings or prints with disperse dyes on flat-surface textile structures made of synthetic fibers, which process comprises applying to the textile material a dyeing by padding, slop-padding or printing dischargeable disperse dyes and drying at mild temperatures, printing on the dyeing which has not yet been fixed a discharge paste containing discharge-resistent disperse dyes and fixing that paste after intermediate drying either by a steaming process in saturated steam followed by a treatment with dry heat or a treatment with over-heated steam, or by steaming in pressurized steam.
