Abstract: An aqueous acidic chromium electroplating bath comprising 200 to 550 g/l of chromium trioxide, 1 to 18 g/l of strontium sulfate, 2 to 30 g/l of potassium silicofluoride, 2 to 8 g/l of potassium dichromate and 4 to 50 g/l of 2,2-dichloromalonic acid or salt thereof.
