Title: Method of, apparatus for, transporting yarns through measuring units

Abstract: A method and apparatus for transporting yarns, especially filaments, through measuring units provides for driving the yarn from a yarn supply to a measuring point by means of delivery rollers disposed upstream of the measuring point in the direction of travel of the yarn and pulling on the yarn downstream of the measuring point to apply a predetermined amount of tension to the yarn, the pulling of the yarn being effected by a nozzle acting in the manner of an injector producing an airstream entraining the yarn so as to pull and also selectively rotate the yarn to apply a twist thereto.
