Title: Elastic support for a ceramic monolithic catalyzer body

Abstract: In an apparatus for cleaning exhaust gases comprising a rigid housing forming an outer wall of the exhaust conduit, a pocket formed at each end of the housing, a pair of accordion-shaped or corrugated wall and resilient compensating devices placed at each end into the pockets and each having gripping end portions, a catalyzer body of the monolithic type being placed between the gripping end portions for suspension axially within the housing with a gap in the housing.
