Title: Submerged pump

Abstract: In a submerged pump of a type having a pump casing in which a cylindrical motor casing is housed, the pump casing and the motor casing are constructed in such a way that the pump casing is given the shape of a polygonal column and the motor casing substantially inscribes the inner surface of the respective walls of the pump casing. The space defined by the adjacent inscribing lines and the portions of the walls between the lines is adapted to pass water without creating spiral flow therethrough from a discharge port of the volute chamber toward the discharge opening of the pump.
