Title: Extensible tape devices

Abstract: An extensible rollup device comprises an elongated resiliently flexible tape body having a transversely arched bias which maintains the body relatively stiffly extended until bias at one terminal portion is overcome, such terminal portion provided with a utility element which avoids interferring with extensibility and is adapted to be rolled up in the device. The utility element may comprise a hook, a claw, weight, banner, etc. At its opposite terminal portion the body may have a handle. Rollup sensitivity control, rollup timing delay and rollup stop are provided.
