Title: Boat trailer latching device

Abstract: A boat latching device is disclosed for use on boat trailers. The latching device includes an elongated support member and a bow conforming guide member having a spring-loaded latching mechanism mounted thereto. An adjustable or resiliently mounted bow stop member is attached at or near the top of the support member. The entire latching device is mounted at the forward end of a boat trailer so that it can receive and hold an elongated eye fixed to the bow of a boat.
