Title: Vacuum cleaner and temperature-responsive motor cooling device

Abstract: A motor cooling arrangement and device for a vacuum cleaner which is provided with a temperature sensitive means that communicates with a valve and acts on a valve diaphragm when the motor temperature exceeds a predetermined level. When the valve is opened, atmospheric air is permitted to pass into both the dust collecting space and the space housing the motor. In the latter space the motor is subject to an increased air flow that functions to improve the cooling of the working motor.
