Title: Direct cooling of reduced manganese ore

Abstract: Hot reduced manganese ore is cooled by blowing air through a layer of ore at velocities greater than 1 meter per second. The use of an inert cooling gas is unnecessary, and air reoxidation of the ore does not occur in the process.
