Title: Process for preparing 2-azacycloalkylmethyl ketones

Abstract: A process for the preparation of 2-azacycloalkylmethyl ketones by chelating a methyl ketone with magnesium methyl carbonate and condensing the chelate with a 1-azacycloalkene in an atmosphere of carbon dioxide. The novel compounds described are useful anticoagulants.
